Spring is upon us once
again. Many of us have been diving all winter, but just the same
are grateful Spring is here. The water tempeture is rising and
visibility is improving. Jason is hot for spearfishing season to
start, Sharon is looking forward to all of the Open Water dives to
be done, And Slim is waiting now for the caves to clear up after the
resent rains.
I am looking for a great year of
diving with all of my friends, so come join us this year on one of our
local dive trips.

WETSUIT RASHES
O.K., we know that YOU NEVER pee
in your wetsuit... So what is that weird rash you get
everytime you put it on??? Contact dermatitis can be caused by a number
of things, but trap them in a damp wetsuit and they are garunteed to
drive you crazy. Two solutions, buy and maintain your own wetsuit,
and use 500 psi wetsuit wash to keep it smelling like a rose and free of
irritants. If you do get a rash, oral Benadryl and topical
creams such as hydrocortisone can help, but check with your health care
professional first. Some rashes get worse with steroids even if
they help the itching.
